Information about our privacy policy, terms of use, and cookie policy.
Edusama Japan K.K. (Edusama Japan 株式会社; “Edusama Japan”, “we”, “us”) takes care to protect the personal data of people who visit www.edusamajapan.com (the “Site”) or contact us through it, and this Privacy Policy explains how we process that data.
The controller of the personal data collected through the Site is Edusama Japan K.K. (Edusama Japan 株式会社), a company established in Japan and part of the Edusama group. The group’s parent company in Turkey is Edusama Yazılım Eğitim Hizmetleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. Our contact details are:
The Site has no visitor accounts, payments, newsletters, analytics or advertising trackers. When you fill in the contact and request form, the only form on the Site intended for visitors, we process:
The form has no e-mail field, although requests sent earlier may contain an e-mail address. Please do not include special categories of personal data, such as health information, in your message.
When you visit the Site, your IP address is used briefly in server memory to limit the number of requests that a single connection can send; it is not stored in our database. The form also contains a field hidden from visitors that helps us recognise automated (spam) submissions. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser information, for security and operational purposes. The cookies used by the Site are described in our Cookie Policy.
We collect personal data electronically when you fill in the contact form and when you visit the Site, and we process it on the following grounds:
We process your personal data in a way that is relevant, limited and proportionate to the following purposes:
Your personal data may be transferred to, or made accessible to, the following parties, only for the purposes above:
Processing your personal data involves several countries: requests are stored in the European Union (Ireland), the Site is hosted by the US company Vercel Inc. with its server functions running in Ireland, and requests are viewed and answered by Edusama group staff in Japan and Turkey. A copy of each new request is also e-mailed to our team through Google Workspace (Google) and kept in our company mailbox on Google’s servers. In the European Union, personal data is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in Turkey by Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data. These transfers are based on the explicit consent you give when you submit the contact form. Within the Edusama group, only the staff responsible for answering your request have access to your data.
We keep contact requests for as long as necessary to answer and follow up on them, and then delete them unless a legal obligation requires us to keep them for longer. If you ask us to, we will delete your data earlier, unless we are legally required to keep it. Your IP address is held in server memory only briefly, and our hosting provider keeps its technical logs only for a short time.
Your personal data is kept in the electronic systems of Edusama Japan and its service providers, is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and can be accessed only by authorised staff; we protect it with care and in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Under Turkey’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), as a data subject you have the right to:
Under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), and subject to the conditions it sets out, you also have the right to:
Where the law provides an exception (for example, where the data is needed for a criminal investigation or must be kept because of a legal obligation), your request may be refused in whole or in part; in that case, we will tell you why.
You can send requests concerning these rights by e-mail to info@edusama.com, stating your full name and what your request is about. Edusama Japan may verify your identity to confirm that you are the person the data relates to, and may ask you questions to clarify your request. If a representative applies on your behalf, we may ask for a document showing their authority. We will handle your request free of charge, as soon as possible depending on its nature and within thirty days at the latest. You can also use this address for questions and complaints about how we process your personal data.
This Privacy Policy takes effect on 7 October 2026. If all or part of it is revised, the effective date will be updated. The Policy is published at www.edusamajapan.com and is made available to data subjects on request.
